2018 is almost here and I am all about goals right now.

I’m always craving to do better and be better, so making goals for the new year is always exciting to me. Here are a couple that will be my main focus:

 

Take More Yoga:

I love working out and staying healthy, but getting my butt to yoga is extremely difficult. I’m not flexible at all, so it’s tough for me, and I think that turns me off of it. You like what you’re good at right?? Well, I’ve decided that if I’m this inflexible now, will I even be able to move once I get older??

So this goal is super important to me. This was a goal of mine last year, and I think I made it to two classes all year, so it’s about time to buckle down and really take on this challenge. I’m going to strive for taking a class at least once a week.

 

Read More:

I’m such a slow reader but I absolutely love reading and need to read more. I’ve kept this as a goal the last couple of years. Two years ago, I read so many books and really surpassed my goal. This year I read maybe one book…definitely not cool.

I’m currently reading Sweetbitter by Stephanie Danler, and I’ve been reading it for maybe 6 months now haha…so I think I’ll start this goal by finishing this book first.

 

Continue Health Journey:

I’ve always had health goals. In the past, they’ve consisted of how I wanted to look on the outside. This year I want to focus more on my internal health.

I love working out and I love healthy eating. I’m not the best in the kitchen, so this year I want to continue to find new healthy recipes and explore those. I meal prep, so I also want to find a way to make those meals just a little more exciting. I really want to focus on food that nourishes your mind and body.

Also, my brain makes me feel crazy. It’s always jumping around from thought to thought, and I’d love to find a way to calm it down even a little. I’ve been getting really nervous lately in certain situations, so I want to work on that, also.

 

I’ll probably make more goals, but these are the main ones I really want to focus on. It’s funny how they all kind of go hand in hand, too.

I’m really looking forward to this new year, and hope you are, too! What are your goals? Does anyone have any similar ones?
